Demonstration and measurement of bad breath

Demonstration and measurement of bad breath: including personal identification and demonstration by professionals.

1 – Personal Identification:

  • Control of breath is blowing on his hands placed in a cup to his mouth.
  • Review of the entourage (spouse, friends).
  • Floss and interdental brossettte: after their use, control of their smell gives a partial objectivity of bad breath.
  • Testing of saliva on the wrist: lick the inside of your wrist, let the saliva dry and feel. Lets see if saliva is the carrier of bad breath.
  • Microbial testing: Fresch Breath Testing Institute, Dr. Mel Rosenberg OraTest.

2. Demonstration by professionals:

  • Gas Chromatography: This technique allows to separate the components of a gas and identify them. The CVS are identified by this method.
  • BANA test: This test detects the presence of bacteria most active in producing hydrogen sulphite (Porphyromas gingivalis, Treponema denticola, Bacteroides forsythus).
  • Halimeter: spectrophotometer that detects the presence of CVS and measure their intensity.
