Baby Bad Breath Causes

Baby can also have bad breath like adults, which may also caused by many reasons, here we provide the most common baby bad breath causes.

  • Dry mouth
  • If your baby is breathing through the mouth (which may be due to nasal congestion or other reasons), and then the bacteria in his mouth would be more likely to grow and will not be stifled.

What can I do about bad breath?

In most cases, good oral hygiene is the answer. Try to wipe or brush your baby’s gums and any teeth after each feeding and before bedtime. You can also gently brush his tongue. (No need to use toothpaste at this age.)

Wash your baby’s hands frequently with soap and water if sucks his thumb or fingers, and wash his security objects often. If he uses a pacifier, sterilize it by running it through the dishwasher or dropping it in boiling water.
